Welcome, internet surfers!

Most of you will know me best as Wattpad’s MissKatey, author of The Season series and How To Rule Your High School. I’ve started this blog as a way of chronicling the long journey from finished manuscript to (hopefully!) published book.

5 years ago, I challenged myself to write 50,000 words in a month during Nanowrimo and The Season was the result of my efforts. In under a year, it earned over 2 million reads, 120,000 votes, and 11,000 comments. Its sequel, The Debutante, also reached over 1 million reads in under six months. Both stories hit #1 on the What’s Hot in Historical Fiction list and earned me over 10,000 followers! (Now please excuse me while I go blush…I never thought a story that had once been stuck in my head would be such a source of enjoyment and entertainment for so many readers!)

But I didn’t stop there. The Season’s prequel, The Heiress Queen, its sequel, The Debutante, and a spinoff, The Rebel Prince, are all available for free on Wattpad, while I work behind-the-scenes on more projects with the goal of querying literary agents and traditionally publishing.
